Scouts

Must:

  • Must not have had their 15th birthday as at 4th January 2010, ie DOB after the 3rd Jan 1995
    • No extension to this age limit is allowed,
  • Have camped as a Scout for 10 nights under canvas (four of which must be consecutive)
  • Must be a registered and invested Scout and hold the Pioneer Badge by December 2009
  • Be considered by their parents/guardians and Scout Leader to be of both sufficient maturity and good behaviour to successfully participate in the Jamboree
  • Must be recommended by their Scout Leader, Group Leader and Contingent Leader

Venturers

Must:

  • Must be registered members of a Venturer Unit and be between 16 and 18 years of age on 4th January 2010
    • (ie: Born between 1st January 1992 and 4th January 1994)
  • Be accepted by the Victorian Contingent on approval from the Victorian Branch Venturer Council
 


Leaders

Must:

  • Have a current ‘Certificate of Adult Leadership’ as at 30th September 2009
  • Be current members of the Scout Association
  • Must have a current Police Clearance and Working with Children card
  • Be willing to serve in any role in which the Contingent Leader or Jamboree Council considers they are most suited to

Rovers

Must:

  • Registered members of a Rover Crew
  • Be at least 18 years of age, but not older than 26 years, at 4th January 2010 will be accepted as Service Leaders,
  • Have a current Police Clearance and Working with Children card.

Adult support staff

  • Must hold a current Police Clearance and Working With Children as at December 2009

All Victorian participants must apply via the Victorian Contingent HQ

All Victorian applicants must be part of the Victorian Contingent and pay the Contingent fee

All applicants must be recommended by their Group and/or responsible Commissioner as suitable members of their Contingent

Scout applicants are reminded that their attendance at the Jamboree is a privilege, not a right, and that behaviour standards will be monitored over the period from point of application acceptance to final application approval date to ascertain attendance eligibility
