Important Message about Stretchers

A gentle reminder to Scouts and parents that all the ‘stuff’ that Scouts take with them to the Jamboree MUST fit inside their 100 litre (approx) roller bag and day pack.

As indicated in the gear list stretchers should NOT be taken unless they fit inside their gear bag. If the Jamboree Troop Leader requests that Scouts do not bring stretchers, this is about accommodating everyone in a tent and 6 – 8 stretchers do not fit comfortably with gear in an auto tent.

Important update regarding visitors to AJ2010

The NSW based organisers of AJ2010 (JOC) have decided to restrict visitor access to the Jamboree site. All visitors must pre register with the Jamboree Organising Committee. This is in order to ensure the 22nd Australian Jamboree is a safe and secure event for everyone involved. Visitor access will be tightly controlled and restricted to one day. For Full details and how to register see the News page and is also listed under Parents Information

Should Scouts take mobiles to the Jamboree

Once it flat, it flat as there will be no where to charge the mobile up. Victorian Contingent recommend scouts not take mobiles to the Jamboree. There will be Pay phones around the site although the queues can be long.
