VICTORIAN YOUTH MEMBER – TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE FROM AJ2010 SITE
Temporary leave for Scouts and Venturers attending the Jamboree is not encouraged however we appreciate that there are sometimes circumstances when this is appropriate. Due to the Jamboree program scouts who leave the site on a temporary basis may jeopardise their opportunity to earn the Jamboree Award.
Youth members will not be granted overnight leave.
Apart from Troop activities, NO Youth Member will be permitted to leave the Jamboree site without prior written permission from their parents/guardians on the approved form. Click hear to download the Temporary leave of Absence Form

Important Message about Stretchers
A gentle reminder to Scouts and parents that all the ‘stuff’ that Scouts take with them to the Jamboree MUST fit inside their 100 litre (approx) roller bag and day pack.
As indicated in the gear list stretchers should NOT be taken unless they fit inside their gear bag. If the Jamboree Troop Leader requests that Scouts do not bring stretchers, this is about accommodating everyone in a tent and 6 – 8 stretchers do not fit comfortably with gear in an auto tent.
Visitors to the AJ2010 Jamboree site
The NSW based organisers of AJ2010 (JOC) have decided to restrict visitor access to the Jamboree site. All visitors must pre register with JOC. This is in order to ensure the 22nd Australian Jamboree is a safe and secure event for everyone involved. Visitor access will be tightly controlled and restricted to one day.
Visitors Day - Sold Out
Visitors Day will be held on Saturday 9 January 2010 and will coincide with Future Scout Day. On this day all participants will be on site and everyone who plans to visit is urged to do so on this day. Please follow the application process below.
Visiting on other days
Not everyone who wants to visit AJ2010 will be able to make it on Visitors Day. To accommodate this, arrangements have been made to allow a maximum of 100 people on non-visitors days. To be able to attend on non-visitors days you will have to submit a small outline (via the comments section of the application form) of the special circumstances preventing you from attending on Visitors Days. Everyone is encouraged to make a special effort to attend on Visitors Day.
Visitors should note that there are 4 offsite activities scheduled and every attendee will attend at least 3. It is important if you are applying to attend on a day other than Visitors Day (Saturday 9 January 2010) you make sure the person(s) you are visiting will be on site.
Application form
The official application form and process is available from https://www.scoutsaj2010.com/registration/Login.asp
Apply as soon as possible to visit the biggest event on the Scouting calendar.
